For benign skin growths, various treatment methods can be used, including surgical excision, laser ablation (CO2 or Erbium laser), and, in certain cases, cryodestruction with liquid nitrogen or electrocoagulation. For malignant skin growths, surgical excision is considered the gold standard, though in some cases, other therapeutic approaches may be considered.

The procedure is quick, lasting 20–30 minutes, performed under local anesthesia, and followed by a histological examination of the removed skin or subcutaneous tissue.
