How does the procedure work?
The procedure is performed after a consultation with a dermatologist, during which the suitability of this method for achieving the patient's specific goals is evaluated, as well as any contraindications (health conditions that prevent the procedure from being performed or make it undesirable), the scope of the procedure, and its expected duration. During the consultation, the patient is also informed about the skin care requirements before and after the procedure, as well as specific restrictions after the procedure.
30–40 minutes before the procedure begins, an anesthetic cream is applied, minimizing pain during the RF therapy.
After removing the anesthetic cream, the skin is cleansed and disinfected. Since proper skin cleansing is crucial, patients will be asked to come to the procedure without any makeup.
The patient may feel mild discomfort depending on the treated area, the chosen technical parameters during the procedure, and the individual sensitivity of the patient.
The duration of the procedure depends on the size of the area being treated, but it typically lasts 40–60 minutes.
After the procedure, skin redness is expected, which, depending on the skin's characteristics and the chosen technical parameters, should subside within 1–3 days. Mild swelling may also occur, which will resolve within a few days.
